Owais Shah named Head Coach of Milan Icons

Milan Icons have their Head Coach. Owais Shah, the former England batter, will lead the franchise’s cricket operation in Italia T10 Season 1, played at the Roma Cricket Ground from 18 to 29 November 2026.
The appointment was welcomed on the franchise’s Instagram and reported by PTI, which noted that Shah has previously been involved in Italian cricket, making this a return to the Italian cricket setup. Cricket media picked it up too, including the Johns cricket news account on X.
An international career
Shah played international cricket for England across Tests, one-day internationals and T20 internationals, and built a long career in English county cricket, most of it with Middlesex. He brings that experience of top-level batting, and of franchise cricket around the world, to a young squad in a ten-over format where every ball counts.
What comes next
Shah joins a leadership group that includes co-founder Dr. Rashid Ali Khan and Chief Executive Officer Shazi Ahmad. Players are being announced one by one; follow them on the Squad page.
